Safari Itinerary.

Explore the East African magic by a combination of both driving and flying around the countries; the tour is designed for the guests who would like to discover East Africa's incredible game parks, game reserves, cultural sites, at their own pace, flying and driving from one destination to the other. The tour starts and ends at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi, Kenya.

Day 1 & 2: Nairobi. Kenya
Upon arrival in Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and after clearing with customs and immigration, you will be met by DK Grand Safaris representative who will transfer you to your city hotel for overnight stay. After breakfast the next day, your day begins with safari briefing on all the adventures ahead of you. Today’s tours include city tour, visit to Giraffe Centre where you will get up close and feed Rothschild Giraffes from elevated platform, visit David Sheldrick where orphan baby elephants are taken care of before being released back into the wild and Karen Blixen Museum, the house made famous by the movie "Out of Africa" and former home to famous novelist Karen Blixen. Afternoon is for your relaxation by the hotel pool, repack for next day adventure or shopping highlight with our motto “look but don’t touch”.

Day 3 & 4: Amboseli National Park. Kenya
After breakfast the next day, we drive to Amboseli National Park arriving in time for lunch. The Park is famous for its big herds of elephants and the view of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa as well as the most famous symbol of Africa. Lunch is served and you have leisure time for a swim or siesta before afternoon game drive. The open flat plains are ideal places to search for plain game and the swamps are ideal places for the elephants. Amboseli hosts large herds of elephants, zebras, buffalos, baboons, gazelles as well as many species of bird life. The next day you have an opportunity to visit the Maasai cultural village where you will interact with the heart warming community.

Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park. Tanzania
After two nights at the shadows of Mount Kilimanjaro, check out and drive to Namanga (Kenya Tanzania boarder) after clearing with customs and immigrations you will proceed by road to Arusha town for lunch. After lunch, drive to Lake Manyara National Park for afternoon game drive. The Park is famous for abundance of bird life, bushy areas, large families of hippos’ congregation and fresh underground water seepage from Ngorongoro hills. Your lodge is magnificently set on the Rift valley escarpment overlooking the valley, Mto wa Mbu village and the Park.

Day 6 & 7: Ngorongoro Conservational Area. Tanzania
After early morning breakfast at the lodge, proceed on morning game drive at Lake Manyara National Park, back to the Lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, drive to Ngorongoro Conservational Area.  Check in and afternoon at leisure. Your lodge is located at the rim of the crater giving you a great view of the largest caldera. The next day after breakfast descend to the grasslands bottom floor of the crater with picnic lunch.  After a day of adventure you will return back to the lodge.

Day 8 & 9: Serengeti National Park. Tanzania
Today you will drive to Serengeti National Park via Oldupai gorge, this is where fossils of homo-habilis where discovered by famed archaeologists, Leakey family. Drive across the grasslands, the kopjes and Seronera river, viewing the Giraffes, Elephants, Hippos, Thomson’s and Grant Gazelle and may be Pride of Lions. You will have two nights with morning and afternoon for exploring the vast legendary Serengeti National Park.

Day 10 & 11: Masai Mara Game Reserve. Kenya
Today you fly to Nairobi via Kilimanjaro International Airport and then connect to Masai Mara Game Reserve. Your dream comes true today, this is the real Africa you imagined of, it’s the home to astonishing number of animals (depending on the season) it’s well know especially for the unique migration of wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, topis, elands between Serengeti National Park and Masai Mara Game Reserve.  The Reserve offers wonderful scenery of the rugged escarpments, the winding of Mara river, umbrella shaped trees, the beautiful sunset and home to the Maasai people. You also have an optional balloon safari, bush dinners, walking safari, bush walk, bird walk or fishing excursion to Lake Victoria the largest fresh water lake in Africa and source of river Nile.

Day 12: Depart. Kenya
After two nights of adventure and explore  in the Masai Mara, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your schedule flight back to Nairobi; a day room will be waiting for you for refreshment, relaxation, re-packing, shopping and farewell dinner before your transfer to the airport for your departure tonight.
