Vacation Itinerary: Where Family Fun Begins

Destinations: Nairobi Town, Tsavo West National Park, Amboseli National

Park and Masai Mara National Reserve.

Depart Home – En route to Kenya arriving at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.


Welcome to Kenya, you will be met upon arrival at Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by our safari representative. Thereafter you will be transferred to your city hotel irrespective of the airline and time of arrival. 

The Boma Hotel or Similar (BB)


A leisurely private breakfast table will be organized at the hotel restaurant for the family followed by safari de-brief by our concierge and/or owners of DK Grand Safaris on all the adventures ahead. Depart for Nairobi city tour which will include tour to the; Giraffe Centre, family will have a completely up close and personal interaction with the giraffes whereby they can hand feeding them with pellets provided at the center, and/or probably get kissed by one of the giraffes. You will then processed to Daphne Sheldrick Animal Orphanage, you will watch baby elephants (aged months to 4yrs) being feed and playing among themselves.  Its home to tiny new-born elephant, whose parents have been killed either by natural death, poachers or have been separated from their mothers for some other reason. Family is very import for elephant calf as it depends on its mother’s milk for the first two years of its life. Lunch will be served back at the city hotel or at any other restaurant suggested as per the family choice. Afternoon at leisure enjoying hotel amenities including the pool, gym, the spa or you can decide to go shopping with an another optional visit to a Brilliant Beauty College which is being sponsored by DK Grand Safaris.

The Boma Hotel (B.L)


After breakfast, check out and any excess family luggage will be stored at the city hotel store room until the last day. Depart by road to Tsavo West National Park which is home to the largest population of red-skinned elephants, many endangered African wildlife including the black rhinoceros, Cosen’s gerbil, Hunter’s hartebeest, several species of shrew rat, Grevy’s zebra and wild dogs including over 500 different bird species have been recorded in the park. Family will arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. For the next two days, the entire family will be entitled to morning and afternoon game viewing in the park which contains a diversity of habitats and a mountainous scenic landscape which includes, Mzima Springs, where hippos and fish can be seen in crystal clear water that has filtered underground from Chyulu Hills gushing below lava. Family will have time to share and compare the wonders of Tsavo together at cocktail hour at the lodge main restaurant overlooking the water pool where animals drink in turns.

After breakfast and check out, family will depart by road to Amboseli National Park which is famous for its large herd of free-ranging elephants and Mount Kilimanjaro which stands at 5,896 meters, the highest freestanding mountain in the world and topped by one fifth of all the ice in Africa. You will arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. For the next two days, family members will be entitled to  a morning and afternoon game viewing in the park which has diversity, along with a long dry season, which ensures excellent viewing of the large concentrations of African wildlife including; big families of elephants, lions, impalas, giraffes, gazelle’s etc living in their natural habitat. This will be a great opportunity for the family to visit another family of the Masai people; the complimentary cultural village tour will reveals the Masai people interesting culture and patriarchal society. The families will learn from each other more about their life-style, how they survive and understand several myths like why the Masai  believe God gave them all the cattle in the world. 

Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge or Similar (B.L.D)


After family breakfast at the lodge, you will be transferred to Amboseli Airstrip for the morning scheduled flight to Masai Mara via Wilson Airport – Nairobi. Masai Mara Game Reserve which is one of the great wonders of the world in terms of animal migrations, As per Abc news “Good Morning America’s show”. It’s also considered as a “must see” by almost all visitor going on safari. It is on the “to do” list for many because the park is graced by a wide variety of unique and exquisite wildlife and birds. Upon arrival at Masai Mara Airstrip, you will be transferred to your new camp for lunch. Afternoon game viewing has been schedule for the family or some family members might decide to just relaxed at the camp which is stylishly designed to provide the ideal safari experience where comfort, luxury and outstanding personal service combine naturally with the beautiful wilderness. Private family dinner table will be reserved at the camp.

Karen Blixen Tented Camp or Similar (B.L.D)


You are entitled to a morning and an afternoon game viewing for the next two days in the magnificent and private Mara North Conservancy which is part of the Masai Mara Game Reserve, The reserve and the conservancies are regarded as the most spectacular wildlife viewing areas in Kenya with over 95 species of mammals and over 400 species of birds. The family can decide in one of the two days to book an Optional balloon ride over the plans of the Masai Mara which takes you over the diverse habitats of the Masai Mara Reserve; fly over the great Mara River, swamps, forests, wildlife & the African Savannah. The quiet, relaxing ride allows you to view an amazing assortment of wildlife from a unique bird’s-eye view. Surprise bush champagne breakfast is served upon landing. Afternoon game viewing has been scheduled as well on this day, or you can decide to book an Optional walking tour, viewing the animals on foot and getting closer to nature as you discover more rather than the obvious big five.

Karen Blixen Tented Camp or Similar (B.L.D)


The family will be served with their last leisurely breakfast at the camp, check out and transferred to Mara Airstrip to fly morning schedule flight to Nairobi. Upon arrival at Wilson Airport, the family will be met by our concierge team who will transfer all to the city hotel for a day room (until 18:00Hrs) for re-packing and final shower. Fare well dinner table for the family will be reserved in the family name by the concierge team at the hotel restaurant. Later the entire family will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for outbound international flight back home.



Mostly probably this is the day the family will arrive back home.
