DAY ONE: EN ROUTE

Depart Home – En route to Kenya arriving at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

DAY TWO: NAIROBI

Welcome to Kenya, you will be met upon arrival at Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by our safari representative. Thereafter you will be transferred to your city hotel irrespective of the airline and time of arrival.

DAY THREE & FOUR: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast and safari de-brief by our concierge and/or owners of DK Grand Safaris at the city hotel, you will depart by road to Amboseli National Park which is famous for its large herd of free-ranging elephants and Mount Kilimanjaro which stands at 5,896 meters, the highest free standing mountain in the world and topped by one fifth of all the ice in Africa. You will arrive at the camp/lodge in time for lunch. For the next two days, you are entitled to a morning and afternoon game drives in the park which has diversity landscape and ensures excellent viewing of the large concentrations of African wildlife including; big families of elephants, lions, impalas, giraffes, gazelle’s etc living in their natural habitat. You can combine your game drive with an optional complimentary visit to a Maasai Cultural village that reveals their interesting culture and patriarchal society. You will learn more about their life-style, how they survive and why they believe God gave them all the cattle in the world.

DAY FIVE: MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE

After breakfast at the lodge/camp, you will be transferred to Amboseli Airstrip for the morning scheduled flight to Masai Mara via Nairobi – Wilson Airport. Masai Mara Game Reserve which is one of the great wonders of the world in terms of animal migrations, As per Abc news “Good Morning America’s show”. It’s also considered as a “must see” by almost all visitor going on safari. It is on the “to do” list for many because the park is graced by a wide variety of unique and exquisite wildlife and birds. Upon arrival at Masai Mara Airstrip, you will be transferred to your new camp for lunch. Afternoon game viewing has been schedule or you might decide to relax at the camp which is stylishly designed to provide the ideal safari experience where comfort, luxury and outstanding personal service combine naturally with the beautiful wilderness.

DAY SIX & SEVEN: MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE

You are entitled to a morning and an afternoon game viewing for the next two days in the magnificent and private Mara North Conservancy which is part of the Masai Mara Game Reserve. The reserve and the conservancy are regarded as the most spectacular wildlife viewing areas in Kenya with over 95 species of mammals and over 400 species of birds. You can decide in one of the two days to book an Optional balloon ride over the plans of the Masai Mara which takes you over the diverse habitats of the Masai Mara Reserve; fly over the great Mara River, swamps, forests, wildlife & the African Savannah. The quiet, relaxing ride allows you to view an amazing assortment of wildlife from a unique bird’s-eye view. Surprise bush champagne breakfast is served upon landing. Afternoon game viewing has been scheduled as well on this day, or you can decide to book an Optional walking tour, viewing the animals on foot and getting closer to nature as you discover more rather than the obvious big five.

DAY EIGHT: ENTEBBE

After breakfast at the camp, check out and you will be transferred to Mara Airstrip for the morning scheduled flight to Nairobi. Upon arrival in Nairobi – Wilson Airport, you will be met by our concierge team who will transfer you for lunch and thereafter transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for an afternoon schedule flight to Entebbe – Uganda. Entebbe is a major town in the central Uganda located on the peninsula of Lake Victoria and its 37km south of Kampala which is capital of Uganda. Upon arrival you will be transfer to your city hotel, Afternoon at leisure relaxing in the hotel.

DAY NINE: BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

Early morning breakfast will be served at the hotel, thereafter you will be transferred back to Entebbe International Airport for the morning schedule flight to Kihihi Airstrip near  Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.  Upon arrival the airstrip, you will be transferred to your lodge for check in followed by lunch. Afternoon, can be the day of unwinding as you look forward to the trek or choose any of many optional activities within Bwindi area such as: A tour to Buhoma village and witness the local people as they make local baskets crafts and as they distiller (distil) their local Gin from bananas, a guided walk in the rainforest, home to 22 of the 36 endemic bird species in the region, clouds of butterflies and rare plant life. Take a tour to the Batwa pygmy’s people who are the original forest dwellers who were hunters & gathers and learn about the native tribal inhabitants at the forest.

DAY TEN: BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

After wonderful breakfast served at the lodge, you will be transferred to the ranger’s station for pre gorilla trekking de-brief. You will be divided into small groups and transferred to the trekking starting points for each gorilla family with your picnic lunch. You will trek through the steep, densely forested hills assisted by optional hired porters and guides then finally coming across the gorillas camouflaged in the vegetations something which is really inspiring and privileged moment. There are thirteen gorilla families which have been habituated for visitors hence you have a good chance of viewing one of the families. Later you will track back to the starting point and transferred back to your lodge. Afternoon at leisure or book any of the optional activities offered at an extra cost.

DAY ELEVEN: DEPART

After breakfast, you will check out and transferred to Kihihi Airstrip to connect morning schedule flight to Entebbe International Airport, thereafter you will connect another schedule flight to Nairobi – Kenya. Upon arrival at Nairobi International Airport, you will be met by our concierge team who has organized for your farewell meal depending on your outbound flight departure time. Later you will be transferred back to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your international departure flight back home. (B..D)

 DAY TWELVE: ARRIVE BACK HOME

Mostly probably this is the day you will arrive back home.

Note: Bwindi area is located at 1,160 – 2,607 meters above sea level and is chilly early morning and evening. While trekking, it can rain unexpectedly, hence waterproof clothing is a good essential including zip lock bags for cameras and film. You will also need boots that can cope with some mud.
