DAY ONE: EN ROUTE

Depart Home – En route to Uganda

DAY TWO: Entebbe City – UGANDA

Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to Entebbe, overnight at the hotel. While in Entebbe you have optional activities which include visiting the Chimp Island, the Uganda wildlife education centre and a nature walk through the botanical gardens, all depending on your arrival time.

DAY THREE: LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK

Early this morning travel to Lake Mburo, a brief stop at the Equator allows time for photographs as well as an enjoyable and informative talk. You will be taken to the point where the Northern and the Southern hemispheres of the world separate with each other. Lake Mburo Park offers a different type of bush savannah land, with mammals like the Zebra, the rare eland, bush pigs, bush bucks. You will get to know the history of the Lake and how it got its name MBURO, Check in at the Lodge as you wait for Lunch. After lunch you will go for a boat ride on lake Mburo its self thereafter you will go for an evening game drive, expect to see Zebras, the rare eland, bush pigs, bush bucks and many more. Apprx 288 km.

DAY FOUR & FIVE: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

Early this Morning transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park, arriving at the lodge in time for lunch, After Lunch depart for the afternoon boat trip on Kazinga Channel, its one activity that you must not miss on your safari. On this ride, you will see animals such as big concentration of hippos thrashing the river, crocodiles basking in the sun, elephant and buffaloes drinking water on the shores, and bird species. You will enjoy the beautiful scenery a head of your ride. Return to your lodge and rest by the sounds of the birds in the wilderness.

Next day an early breakfast after which go for the morning  Chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura gorge the forest offers multitudes of primates.  The experience will be memorable as you see other primates such as L’Hoest’s Monkeys, Black and White Colobus Monkeys, Blue Monkeys, Red Tailed Monkeys, Baboons as well as the Grey Cheeked Mangabey.Come back in time for lunch. After lunch you will go for an evening game drive, Among these include antelopes, lions, elephants, buffaloes, Leopards, warthogs, hippos and bird species such as the migratory ones from Europe. The true wilderness of Uganda will offer you multitudes of primates and mammals that can all be found in the park.Return to the lodge for lunch

DAY SIX: BWINDI IMPENATRABLE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast you will be transferred to Bwindi National Park. Today we have a chance to go through the Ishasha sector which provides chances of viewing the tree climbing lions and other game. Then continue to Bwindi national park, through the highland and valleys of the western part of the country, with view of the well cultivated hillsides. A picnic lunch en route after which you will continue on to Bwindi National Park, arriving late this afternoon. Relax at the camp for the rest of the afternoon.

DAY SEVEN: BWINDI IMPENATRABLE NATIONAL PARK

This is one of the major highlights of the safari, trekking the Mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Have an early morning breakfast at your lodge and proceed to the headquarters for briefing and meeting your game ranger. Set off for a whole day of tracking a certain group of Mountain Gorillas. This often takes about 8 hours or less depending on where they were on the previous day. Catching a glance at the mountain gorillas at a distance will be worth satisfying the soul. You will get an up close look at them as they do their daily routine work, some playing, resting and the mothers feeding the young ones. It’s an experience worth sharing when you get back home. (Proper trekking gear includes – long pants & long sleeved shirts, rain jacket, hiking shoes and a small backpack to carry your water, lunch packs, cameras & personal items. Return to your lodge after the trek.

DAY EIGHT: DEPART

After breakfast you will be transferred to Kihihi Airstrip for your Morning scheduled flight to Entebbe. At the airport you will be met by our already waiting guide and transferred to the Hotel for your Lunch. Depending on your flight you can do an optional activity by visiting UWEC, a walk through the Botanical gardens or Boat to Ngamba Island (Activities today are optional)/Relax at the hotel as you wait for your dinner. After dinner you will be transferred to the Airport for your departure flight (A day room will be reserved on this day) (B.D.L)

DAY NINE: ARRIVE BACK HOME

Mostly probably this is the day you will arrive back home.

  • Lake Mburo National Park is the only place where you can spot the impalas, Elands in Uganda.
  • The smallest park in Uganda covering, 260 sq kms, located in Kiruhura District.
