DAY ONE: EN ROUTE

Depart Home – En route to Uganda

DAY TWO: Entebbe City – UGANDA

Welcome to Uganda, you will be met upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport by our safari representative. Thereafter you will be transferred to your city hotel irrespective of the airline and time of arrival.

DAY THREE: LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK

Early morning breakfast will be served followed by a short safari briefing by our safari representatives, their after depart on the southwest bound road for Lake Mburo National Park. The park lies between Masaka and Mbarara in western Uganda, 228km (3½ hours) from Kampala. It’s the smallest of Uganda’s savannah national parks and underlain by ancient Precambrian metamorphic rocks which date back more than 500 million years. It is home to more than 350 species of birds and many mammals species. You will continue on to the lodge for lunch. Afternoon game viewing in the national park has been scheduled and/or an optional boat ride at Lake Mburo where you expect to see some hippo, impalas, zebras etc on the side.

DAY FOUR & FIVE: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

Breakfast will be served at the lodge and their after depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park game viewing en-route. Queen Elizabeth National Park is the second largest national park in Uganda and home to more than six hundred bird’s species which includes a variety of woodland birds, forest birds and water birds coupled with many northern Europe and trans-African migrant species.  You will arrive at the lodge in times for lunch, Afternoon game viewing in the park where you will have an opportunity of viewing the famous tree climbing lion among big herds of Elephants. The next day after breakfast you will depart for Chimpanzee trekking along the Kalinzu Forest Reserve near Queen Elizabeth National Park where you can find habituated chimpanzees in their natural environment. The chimpanzee population is quite mobile and viewing can be unpredictable but the walk itself is enchanting. After lunch you will be transferred to kazinga channel for a cruise within a 32 km (20 Miles) long channel connecting Lakes Edward and Lake George. Large populations of wildlife are drawn to the water channel which includes Elephants, Buffalos, Hippo, Nile crocodile several birds’ species etc.

DAY SIX: BWINDI IMPENATRABLE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast and check out, you will depart for Bwindi National Park game viewing en-route arriving at the lodge in time for lunch. Afternoon, can be the day of unwinding as you look forward to the trek or choose any of many optional activities within Bwindi area such as; A tour to Buhoma community village and witness the local people as they make local baskets crafts and as they distiller (distil) their local Gin from bananas, a guided walk in the rainforest, home to 22 of the 36 endemic bird species in the region, clouds of butterflies and rare plant life. Take a tour to the Batwa pygmy’s people who are the original forest dwellers who were hunters & gathers and learn about the native tribal inhabitants at the forest.

DAY SIX: BWINDI IMPENATRABLE NATIONAL PARK

After wonderful breakfast served at the lodge, you will be transferred to the ranger’s station for pre gorilla trekking de-brief. You will be divided into small groups and transferred to the trekking starting points for each gorilla family with your picnic lunch. You will trek through the steep, densely forested hills assisted by optional hired porters and guides then finally coming across the gorillas camouflaged in the vegetations something which is really inspiring and privileged moment. There are thirteen gorilla families which have been habituated for visitors hence you have a good chance of viewing one of the families. Later you will track back to the starting point and transferred back to your lodge. Afternoon at leisure or book any of the optional activities offered at an extra cost.

DAY EIGHT: DEPART

After breakfast, you will check out and transferred to Kihihi Airstrip to connect morning schedule flight to Entebbe International Airport. Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by our concierge team who will take you for your farewell meal depending on your outbound departure flight time. Later you will be transferred back to Entebbe International Airport for your outbound flight back home. (B.D)

DAY NINE: ARRIVE BACK HOME

Mostly probably this is the day you will arrive back home.

  • Lake Mburo National Park is the only place where you can spot the impalas, Elands in Uganda.
