Royal Livingstone Hotel

The Royal Livingstone Hotel was built on the Zambian side of the Victoria Falls and opened in 2001. This former Sun International hotel was built from scratch right beside the Zambezi River. If you are familiar with the colonial style of architecture, you will greatly appreciate the design of this magnificent accommodation option. You will find ceiling fans in all areas of the hotel, beautiful artefacts, paintings and drawings from the Livingstone era. Located in Livingstone, 3.8 km from Livingstone Reptile Park. From the hotel reception you can immediately see the Zambezi River across the rolling lawns. There are 173 rooms at the hotel, all of the spacious guest rooms in the hotel are fitted with a flat-screen TV, equipped with a private bathroom with a bath, offers certain units with pool views, a coffee machine, free WiFi access and the rooms have a balcony with a garden view. They do face the Zambezi River although not all of them will have the view because of trees in front of buildings.  Breakfast is available each morning, and includes continental, buffet and Full English/Irish options. The hotel can conveniently provide information at the reception to help guests to get around the area. Couples particularly like the location they rated it 9.6 for a two-person trip. The restaurant, lounge area and bar face the magnificent Zambezi River so guests can lounge with an awesome view. In front of the lounge also is the swimming pool with sun beds, rolling evergreen lawn and the decks. These decks are wonderful and guests can enjoy drinks and meals while watching the river flow by. Guests at the Royal Livingstone are welcome to treat themselves in the health spa in the main area of the hotel, and in the gazebos near the river bank, as well as the gym. This 5-star quality establishment is a beautiful place to stay and is great for those who want high quality accommodation while exploring the Victoria Falls area.
