All your international inbound flights should be booked to arrive in Kenya – Nairobi at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport irrespective of the time and the airline. After clearing with customs, immigration and confirming you have collected all your luggage, please proceed outside the building to the paging area where you will find our Safari/Airport representative holding a pager with the DK Grand Safaris logo and your surname/Group name printed below the logo. After a warm introduction to each other with a Hug, you will be assisted with your luggage and taken to the vehicle. You will proceed to your city hotel for check-in and overnight. The Boma Hotel is a lovely hotel close to the airport and next door to the International Red Cross Headquarters. Nairobi is one of the most influential cities in Africa being the main hub, and regional, headquarters for several vital commercial and financial companies. It’s the starting point for most safaris journeys, in East Africa because of its strategic location and large airport serviced by several international airlines. It’s the world’s only wildlife capital, only 4 miles from Nairobi Business District is Nairobi National Park.

Day 2
Amboseli National Park
After breakfast check out and depart by road to Amboseli National Park which is famous for its scenery with a backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, (the world’s largest free-standing mountain 5,895 meters 9,340 feet) which dominates the landscape. Amboseli is also famous for its large herds of elephants, thanks to Dr. Cynthia Moss born in the USA and moved to Africa in 1968, she has lived and worked for wildlife there ever since. She has concentrated her studies on the distribution, demography, population dynamics, social organization, and behavior of the Amboseli elephants. You will arrive at the lodge which is strategically located with magnificent views of the surrounding wilderness and the Mountain in time for lunch. Afternoon game viewing has been scheduled for you. In this afternoon game drive, you might encounter not only the Elephants but other wild animals like Lions, Buffalos, Giraffes, Gazelles, Baboons, Zebras, Cheetah and depending on the rains and water lever at Lake Amboseli, this is one of the best destinations for flamingoes viewing and a mini wildebeest, zebras and elephants migration.

Day 3
Amboseli National Park
The next day will be your climax as you trespass through different terrains of Amboseli National Park ranging from the seasonal lakes, marshlands, open plains, and lava-strewn thorn bushes, to acacia woodland. Your private professional driver guide/tour leader is an expert in positioning the safari jeep for this National Geographic shot. Your adventure isn’t complete unless you visit one of Kenya’s nomadic and warrior-like people who have retained much of their traditional ways of life despite continuous pressure from the West. A guided village tour will be organized for you by the son of the chef, areas of interest will include; visiting her mother’s house, meeting the village medicine man, making fire by rubbing two sticks together, and finally a visit to the market where you will have an opportunity to shop from their handmade crafts items though it’s not mandatory. The day’s activities aren’t over yet, an afternoon game viewing has been scheduled for you.

Day 4
Nairobi National Park
Breakfast will be served at the lodge/camp check out and depart by road for Nairobi game viewing en route. You will be transferred to your city hotel for check-in and followed by lunch. After lunch, you will depart for an afternoon game viewing in Nairobi National Park. Within 15 minutes from your city hotel, you will immerse yourself in the wildlife wonders of the park. The park is home to one of the world’s densest concentrations of black and white rhinoceros and several mammals’ which include: zebras, giraffes, cape buffalo, water bucks, elands, warthogs, impalas, gazelles, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, wildebeest, etc and more than 500 different species of permanent and migratory birds. Some of the most spectacular scenery in the park you wouldn’t like to miss out on includes; The Ivory Memorial Burning Site, Hippo Pool where you can take a walk along the Athi River in search of the hippopotamus and crocodiles in addition to many velvet monkeys which huge around that area. Baboon Clip/Escarpment, Narogoman dam, Mokoyeti picnic site – it’s an open cliff top with toilets and a good picnic site as well. Later you will be transferred back to your city Hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 5
Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast at the city hotel, you will depart by road to Lake Nakuru National Park with a stopover at the viewpoint for a spectacular view of the Great Rift Valley Lakes, the vista stretch from the sparkling waters of Lake Naivasha all the way to Lake Turkana. Lake Nakuru is renowned as a bird sanctuary with over 400 bird species and it’s most famous for millions of flamingos that feast on the lake’s algae. An afternoon game viewing in the park has been scheduled. This is just another of Africa’s many natural, theatrical spectacles. The landscape includes areas of marsh, grasslands alternating with rocky cliffs and outcrops, stretches of acacia woodland, and rocky hillsides covered with a euphorbia forest on the Eastern perimeter. The park is home to one of the greatest concentrations of Black Rhino in the World, and also has a thriving population of White Rhino. It’s also home to the rare and endangered Rothschild giraffe species which was introduced in the park in 1977 for its protection and conservation. Other animals found in the park include; Zebras, Lions, Café Buffaloes, Baboons, Monkeys, Waterbucks, Impalas, Gazelles, Leopards, and Hippopotamus, etc., There are no elephants because of the park’s size and proximity to the town of Lake Nakuru.

Day 6
Masai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast, you will check out and drive to the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. You will drive along the rift valley floor (the Graben) crossing the divergent boundary of the valley where the plates are pulling apart. You will arrive at the camp/lodge in time for lunch, you will experience a connection with culture and nature like never before. Lunch will be served outside the main restaurant with an excellent view of the Mara plains or the Mara River from a distance. The Masai Mara Game Reserve, covering an area of 1,510 square km (583 square miles), the Masai Mara National Reserve is considered a “must-see” by almost all visitors going on safari because the park is graced by a wide variety of unique and exquisite wildlife and birds with over 95 species of mammals and more than 400 different bird species. It’s world-renowned for its population of big cats and the famous wildebeest migration as they cross the Mara River. Together with Serengeti National Park, they form one of the world’s most diverse eco-system classified as a premium safari destination for the Big Five Safari. An afternoon game viewing is scheduled for you on this day.

Masai Mara Game Reserve
Morning and afternoon game drives have been scheduled for you. You will have all the time to enjoy taking pictures and being close to nature as our professional guide educates you more on the behaviors of your favorite animals, birds, plants, or insects. The scenic appeal of the umbrella-shaped tree, studded savannah plains, the moderate climate, and the diversity of wild game species make it a one-stop shop for game-viewing activities. This is the day you will be searching for the pride of lions, a coalition of cheetahs, the clan of hyenas, a leap of leopards, a pack of jackals, a dazzle of zebras, herd of antelopes, a confusion of wildebeest, a tower of giraffes, a sounder of warthogs, gang of buffalos, school of hippos and the dangerous bask of crocodiles along the Mara River. We will also try our luck to search for the famous Wildebeest migration depending on the season of travel. You may have viewed this dramatic event on your electronic screens but if it is your first time to view in reality, believe us that it is going to be the most thrilling lifetime experience packed with action. You might also decide to spice up your adventure with an optional Balloon Safari Adventure. Thereafter your adventure safari will continue or enjoy a leisurely game drive back to the camp/lodge reliving the memories of the morning’s flight.

Depart
After breakfast, you will check out and depart by road back to Nairobi. Upon arrival, you will be met by our concierge team, who has organized lunch at a city restaurant/city hotel. A day room has been reserved for you until 06:00 pm for final refreshments and repacking. Later after the farewell dinner, you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your international outbound flight.
